TRUSS Group LLC proudly participated in the STEM Utah Creativity Unleashed campaign launched last week by Utah Governor Gary Herbert at the Neil Armstrong Academy last week. STEM is aimed at young students; encouraging them to study and peruse future careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Governor Herbert told students in attendance that Utah has a growing, and currently underserved, need for a work force educated in the critical fields targeted by STEM. He also stated, “It’s amazing what we can do today with new technology. And who knows what the future will bring?” Business leaders from around the State of Utah were in attendance for the launch.
Also attending the event was Stan Lockhart, chairman of the Prosperity 2020 STEM Education Initiative. Speaking to the students he said, “We want to inspire you and other kids to want those jobs and to want to study hard enough to go beyond the possibilities they think they have.”
TRUSS Group was counted among the sponsors of the event and was contracted to design the newly unveiled STEM logo and STEM logo animation, along with other creative work, used and to be used in the STEM marketing campaign.
“Being able to be a part of the STEM initiative launch and stand with Utah business leaders to encourage education was a great opportunity for TRUSS,” stated Noam Temkin, CEO of TRUSS. “The Utah community will greatly benefit from the STEM program and as a firm that looks for design and technology talent, we have a first-hand understanding of the importance of a properly educated workforce.”
